Whom do you hire?
Our counselors are expected to establish personal relationships with our campers, participate one-hundred percent in camper's activities, plan and organize activities with small and large groups, act as a team member of fifty-plus staff, and be a model of the values and philosophy of our camp. Awosting and Chinqueka employ about 120 counselors seasonally. All staff are required to have completed one or more years of college or university. The average age of our staff is 21. We hire staff from all over the United States, Canada and the world.

What are the campers like?
Our campers come from all over the world and from a diversity of backgrounds. Many camper come for two or four weeks at a time.

What are the dates of employment?
Staff are employed for the entire season. Our season typically runs from the middle of June until the middle of August. Online training begins in April and continues until camp orientation a week prior to camp.

Yes. There is internet access, access to phones, and the lounge is equipped with 300+ movie collection, pool table, and exercise equipment.

How do I get to and from camp?
Staff make their own travel arrangements. Depending on where you are from you may receive travel compensation.

You don't. We provide a laundry service one time a week while the campers are at camp. The entire cabin's laundry goes out together and is cleaned and folded by our laundry service.
